How to Apply
Graduate Certificate
- Complete the Online Application Form
- Complete the Online Registration Form
- Have one official copy of your transcripts showing your bachelor's degree submitted to the address below. If you are an RN without a bachelor’s degree then you should submit a copy of your Nursing License.

Minimum requirements for acceptance:
- Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree (see below for exceptions), preferably in a health-related or social service discipline, e.g. Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Gerontology, Sociology, Health Education, etc.
- A GPA of 2.0 or better
- For a person whose native language is not English, a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based and 213 on the computer-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
Special enrollment options are available for registered nurses and geriatric
care professionals who qualify as an applicant for the certificate program:
- Geriatric care professionals who are currently employed in a geriatric care-related setting with a baccalaureate degree qualify as an applicant. You may submit your application which will be reviewed by program staff and you will be informed of your eligibility in a timely manner.
Restrictions
- A student who is not in good standing or who is under suspension from any institution may not register for non-degree course work
- Anyone who has been denied admission to the University of Florida may not register for non-degree course work
- A student who is already admitted to the University of Florida may not register for non-degree course work
Undergraduate Certificate
- Complete the Online Application Form
- Complete the Online Registration Form

- Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
- For a person whose native language is not English, a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based and 213 on the computer-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

Registration
To register for your courses, select the appropriate program and courses, and then click on the "Continue" button to complete the process on our secure server. Your registration will not be completed until payment is received. Course materials will be mailed once your registration is processed.
- Graduate Level Certificate
For verification of your bachelor's degree you will need to have one copy of your official transcripts showing your bachelor's degree sent to:

- Undergraduate Level Certificate of Completion
